Bespoak Furniture & Joinery
Bespoak Furniture & Joinery are a small business based in the heart of Devon. They specialise in bespoke handcrafted furniture and purpose-made joinery, using a combination of traditional techniques alongside modern-day methods to produce classic and contemporary furniture and cabinetry, from console tables and bedside cabinets, to built-in wardrobes and fully installed kitchens.
Bespoak makes all of their handcrafted furniture and custom made joinery from kiln-dried FSC certified timbers, and where possible, woods, such as English oak, walnut and yew, are handpicked from local sources.

Project Brief
In early 2013, Tim from Bespoak approached me to create a logo and brand identity for his new business. While he had already chosen the name Bespoak, he didn’t yet have the essentials a business needs to launch, such as a logo, stationery, or a website.
The brief was open: Tim wanted a logo that hinted at his craft but was otherwise happy for me to explore creative directions. Once the logo was finalised, the next step was to design and build a website that would showcase his projects and explain his services.

The Solution
I began by presenting three initial logo concepts, which helped identify Tim’s design preferences. After a few refinements, the chosen design evolved into a bold yet classic logo that feels both established and dependable, qualities that are especially valuable for a new business.
With the logo approved, I extended the brand identity across a stationery set, including a letterhead, compliments slip, business card and invoice templates.
For the website, we agreed on WordPress to ensure easy updates and ongoing flexibility. I designed a minimalist, responsive layout and collaborated with a web developer to build a custom template. The site included:
-
Social media integration
-
Image gallery
-
Google Maps
-
Online contact form
-
Downloadable guarantee and care PDFs
The final result was a clean, professional website that has been well received by Bespoak’s customers.
Since the initial branding project, I’ve continued to support Bespoak with a range of design needs, including:
-
Advertisements and promotional flyers
-
Branded workwear
-
Vehicle livery
-
Social media graphics
